As he was searching a calf with a high genomic test from a top cow family, Gernot Gewessler found what he was looking for at the Top-Genetic-Auction 2021. Already while browsing through the catalogue for the first time, he noticed the VH Crown daughter RR Extreme, who came from the internationally known E-family of Reinermann and whose dam RR Gymnast Elanie meanwhile belongs the best brood cows in Germany. Having long been an admirer of this exceptional cow family, Gernot decided to bid online and ultimately succeeded, which soon proved to be the absolutely right decision!

After the calf was initially raised on the home farm for a few months, it moved to the OHG donor station at the age of 10 months. A total of 3 ET flushes were carried out and besides pregnancies for the OHG breeding program embryo contracts could also be fulfilled and thus refinancing started directly.
From the mating with the Calvin son Castelli a bull calf was born at Gewesslers in Styria at the beginning of October `22 and this calf immediately stood out with high genomic breeding values. It quickly became clear that this bull was interesting for the OHG and so was heded to Melle at the age of 5 months. In the meantime, the feet & legs-, production- and robot specialist CARLOS has produced the first semen and will become widely available soon. So the first big breeding success with RR Extreme was not long in coming for her new owner, but it was to get even better very soon
Extreme was inseminated with sexed Rover at OHG and left for her new Austrian home shortly afterwards, fortunately already pregnant. She calved at the beginning of January without any problems and her daughter Emilia was of course genotyped immediately!
With 170 gRZG, the Rover daughter immediately climbed to the peak of the German top list, which of course made the Gewessler family very happy and increased their enthusiasm for this exceptional cow family. In the meantime, RR Extreme herself was classified with 85 points and already has a 200-day production of nearly 8000 kg and thus follows seamlessly in the footsteps of her well-known ancestors. You will certainly hear a lot of good news about this branch of the Elisa family in the future.
