The highest newcomer on the German RZG top list of daughter proven bulls is the well-known OHG allrounder SUPREM (Superhero x Missouri) with 153 RZG! With his first daughter information, he made a significant jump of +5 RZG upwards. With over +2500 kg milk and +75 kg protein, Suprem (A2/A2, BB) is not only an outstanding production sire, but is also well positioned for the important health and conformation traits. His medium-sized daughters have wide rumps, ideal sickled rear legs and firmly attached udders with long teats. In terms of fitness, his daughters show great hoof and udder health, good fertility (RZRepro) and strong robustness (RZMetabol). Therefore it’s not surprising that SUPREM is the number 1 for lifetime production at OHG.
FELIX (Federal x Montross) also celebrated a remarkable debut with more than 200 daughters in milk. Compared to his previous genomic result, he improves for milk production, but lost for milk type and body. His daughters are a bit smaller, but offer a lot of strength. Above all, the calving ease sire FELIX (A2/A2, BB, aAa 534) leaves extremely fertile daughters (No.1 OHG with RZR 131) with good udders.
The specialist for robotic milking ROYCE (RZRobot 132) was able to increase his breeding value for milk by more than 300 kg and ranks now at 142 RZG, which means 2 RZG higher than started in August. Also his conformation skills improved once more. With his first daughters, ADLON P (A2/A2) was also able to improve his breeding value by more than 100 kg milk, gained 3 RZM points in connection with his high fat and protein percentages and achieved RZG 140 (+2). In this way he does not only rank among the best German daughter proven polled bulls, but is also by far the best for conformation (RZE 129). MISTER P (A2/A2) also managed an increase of 3 RZG points to 137 RZG right away and offers a very complete, faultless breeding value profile. An eighth OHG bull (compared to 6 in August) among the top 100 daughter proven bulls is the Kerrigan son KENT. Further winners of the December breeding value evaluation are BONUS with +5 to 135 RZG and JETSON (A2/A2) with +3 to 125 RZG.
The daughter proven OHG bulls SINUS (BB) and ALAMO (A2/A2, BB) remain almost unchanged in the December proof run with 143 RZG and 141 RZG and are stable in the list of 99 % bulls as 5th (Sinus) and 16th (Alamo).
The OHG sire NOBEL-RED (A2/A2) ranks as a newcomer with 132 RZG directly 25th on the German daughter proven Red Holstein top list. In addition, AKIRO-RED was able to improve to 126 RZG (+3).
Also 8 OHG bulls in the Top 100 Genomic List / Outcross bull SUNRISE in 3rd place
Same as the daughter proven, OHG has also more than double the share in the genomic breeding value list than one might expect based on its test capacity. SUNRISE (Superfly x Rio x Detour) was able to confirm his high breeding values and ranks now on the 3rd place of all German Holstein sires with 164 gRZG! In addition to his production and conformation traits, Sunrise (A2/A2, BB) also impresses with his high health values (RZhealth 126 with RZmetabol 114, RZudderfit 113, RZrepro 111 and DDc 108). In the Netherlands SUNRISE reaches gNVI 372 (+13), which makes him the highest foreign Holstein bull. In Spain SUNRISE is even #2 worldwide with gICO 5363. Also in several other countries like Scandinavia and France SUNRISE is ranking very high.
MIRCO (Mick x Reserve) ranks unchanged at 159 gRZG as the second highest OHG bull, who, like Sunrise, offers an absolute outcross pedigree and at the same time very high conformation values with 134 gRZE. The popular allrounder CALVIN was able to increase to 158 gRZG. Immediately behind him the early Best Benz son BELUGA is palced with 157 gRZG. His high production level combined with medium-sized daughters make him the number 1 feed efficiency improver at OHG. The production sire and sire of sons METRO continues to rank at the same RZG level. The polled bulls SUNNY P and SIMBA P each achieve 156 gRZG, which are currently among the most complete and therefore widely useable polled bulls in Germany, not only because of their values for rear leg set and rump angle. Also the popular allrounder CARUSO and the extremely complete Suprem son SUSSEX should be mentioned, which together with SAMUEL P are now at 155 gRZG, followed by the attractive Soundcloud son SOLIST with 154 gRZG. His older half-brother SOLAR only ranks at 149 gRZG, but in the actual evaluation of the top fertility bulls he stands out with an outstanding result of +7 Non-Return (= highest positive deviation in Germany). The next best top fertility bulls are Mirco, Sussex, BERLIN and Padre with +5 each, followed by the most complete and attractive Gywer son GENIUS with +4. He still belongs together with the German number 1 RZE bull GIGANT and with ROMAN to the elite group of top conformation bulls with ≥140 gRZE. By the way, Roman is also the clear No. 1 of all German bulls with 134 for feet and legs (with 6 points ahead)!
SOLI-RED P remains the highest OHG Red Holstein bull with 156 gRZG. The homozygous polled bull SKY-RED PP with a consistently high level of production and conformation is also very popular. Even higher for conformation (141) is SIR-RED, which ranks him right behind with gRZG 148.
Sexed semen
Sexed semen is actually available from the genomically tested bulls CALVIN (the «ambassador» of the OHG according to the magazine «Holstein International»), CARUSO (the No. 1 for daughter fertility with RZR 128 and RZrepro 111), GENIUS (the «extremely complete top sire”), GIGANT (Germany’s No. 1 for conformation with gRZE 147, udder 142, feet and legs 126, and number 1 at OHG with RZhealth 127), MIRCO (outcross, capacity, robustness), METRO (fat & protein kg, RZrepro, aAa 513), SOUND PP RDC (by far the highest PP red factor bull for conformation in Germany), SKY-RED PP (conformation, components, milking speed) and SIR-RED (“extraordinary” according to the “Holstein International” magazine). Sexed semen from ANDY-RED (calving ease sire, components, robustness, aAa 513) will go on sale again in January.
