When OHG decided mid of October to organize the International Osnabrueck Black & White Days in the progressive 2G mode (which means, that participation is allowed only for visitors, who are vaccinated with an EU recognized Corona vaccine or are recovered, and do not arrive from a Corona high risk area), the Corona incidences were on a low level. Therefore OHG had the great confidence that the event in January 2022 will be again a face-to-face event with almost carefree contacts with visitors and breeders. Unfortunately the situation has become worse dramatically in the last few weeks.
Due to the new Corona rules (2Gplus), valid since 1st December, OHG has decided to cancel the “International Osnabrueck Black and White Days” on 28/29 January 2022. The associated distance rules and the wearing of FFP2 masks during the show and daughter presentations (ROYCE, ADLON P, FELIX, SUPREM) or the breeders tour and breeders reception the day before make a carefree, happy international breeders festival impossible. The additional strict limitation of the number of visitors on the days of the event will also reduce the traditionally great attraction of the event.
Because for our consideration it seems unrealistic that the incidences will decrease again in the short term, this early cancellation seems tob e justified and responsible to our member farms, visitors, employees and the general public.
Top Genetic Auction Online on January 29, 2022
At the same time, however, OHG has decided, after the very successful premiere of the top genetic auction in January 2021, to organize this sale again as an online auction on January 29, 2022. For this purpose, videos of the animals for sale will be created so that all interested parties from home and abroad can participate in this elite auction. In addition, it is planned to give interested customers the opportunity in the two to three days before the auction to get a “live impression” of the quality of the animals for sale. For this purpose, viewing appointments are offered, which can be coordinated in advance with the OHG sales department.

Monthly breeding cattle auctions
At the same time, we would like to point out that we continue to assume that our monthly breeding cattle auctions on December 15, 2021 and January 16, 2022 can be carried out according to the 2Gplus standard. At these events with a limited number of visitors and also a clearly specified hygiene concept to reduce contact, from our point of view, a Corona-compliant organisation can be implemented.
