August 2020 – again outstanding proof results

The Osnabrueck top sire SINUS is increasing and increasing! In December 2019, the Silver x Bedford x Logan from the Gold-N-Oaks Shottle Marbella family reached RZG 146, in April – despite the base adjustment – RZG 149 and now in August even RZG 155, which leads him to  Germany’s top position (> 100 daughters). His long-lasting, medium-sized daughters have excellent udder quality, hoof health and great metabolic stability and robustness. At the same time Sinus is one of the highest German sire for production (RZM 151) – offering high milk with good components. His daughters also get along very well in robotic milking operations. With his breeding value of + 6% NR for conception rate, Sinus is one of best top fertility sires in Germany.

ALAMO was able to increase by tremendous + 5 points to RZG 150 and ranked 3rd among all German sires with more than 100 daughters. His vital daughters should become old without any problems due to his high values for fitness and hoof health, especially Mortellaro resistance. They should fit also into every robot farm (RZRobot 127). His production breeding value (RZM 147) is well balanced with positive fat % and protein% and a good amount of milk. His conformation values especially for feet and legs (127) are outstanding. In regard to several body traits, Alamo is a correction bull that can limit frame and size. With 107 each for paternal and maternal birth, this AltaSpring son from the Snow-N Denise Dellia EX-95 family can be used as calving ease sire. Alamo (A2/A2) is also appreciated on many dairy farms due to his great sire fertility (+ 4% NR).

The conformation bull TREND (Tribune x Mogul) should be recommended for inseminations with cows. His extremely stylish, compact daughters regularly achieve high sales prices at the monthly Osnabrueck livestock auctions. In addition, Trend is highly positive tested for longevity (RZN 125), milkability (RZD 113) and hoof health (112).

Among Germany’s top 10 genomically tested bulls, this time the Lightstar son LINDY out of the Shottle Chassity EX-92 and Durham Barbie EX-92 family is the winner with + 2 points to gRZG 161. The robust production sire (gRZmetabol 115) offers a convincing breeding profile for production  with good milk yield and clearly positive components as well as a well-balanced, good conformation profile and consistently good fitness values ​​(gRZhealth 118). Due to his easy calvings (paternal 110, maternal 115), Lindy (A2/A2) can be used very widely.

CALVIN (Casino x Finder x Missouri) is the actual # 2 sire in Osnabrueck and one of the most complete top sires in Germany. He comes from the family of the MILTON full sister and thus from the extremely successful bull dam Snowflake Mabelle EX-90. Calvin is an outstanding milk bull with matching milk components. His conformation profile is extremely balanced, without any faults. He should be a suitable bull for robotic milking operations (gRZRobot 124). Especially in regard to his excellent milk production skills, his fitness values ​​are of tremendous quality. His gRZhealth (117) and his sire conception rate of + 3% NR are also in a top range. Due to his calving ease, Calvin (A2/A2) is extremely suitable for heifer matings (118/116).

With gRZG 155, KENNY (Keith x Superhero x Rubicon) is an interesting alternative, especially in regard to the improvement of strength, depth, rump angle and rump width. Kenny (A2/A2) should also be able to influence positively the milk components and all health characteristics.

With ROMAN and SIR-RED, OHG is able to offer extremely high conformation sires in the Holstein and Red Holstein segment. ROMAN (ROYCE x Finder x Shotglass) presents not only solid production, fitness and health values, but above all a very special conformation profile (gRZE 141). His values ​​for feet and legs (134) and udder (132) are particularly outstanding. Roman should not only be attractive for show enthusiasts, but also for breeders who are concerned about functionality. The calving values (paternal 108, maternal 111) are also in the favorable range. At the same time Roman (A2/A2) has an exceptionally high gRZRobot (135), high values ​​for all health traits, especially udder health (with gRZS 124 and gRZudderfit 118) and daughter fertility (with gRZrepro 115 and gRZR 108).

The Simplicity (Modesty x Relief) son SIR-RED also offers very high overall breeding values with gRZE 139 (+1) for conformation, RZM 147 (+2) for production and gRZG 153 (+2) for total index. For fitness, Sir-Red presents solid values ​​for udder health (114), longevity (111) and exceptionally good maternal calving ease (123). He also shows no weaknesses in any of the health traits (especially Mortellaro resistance with DDc 111). However, his balanced conformation profile with dairy type (127), feet and legs (120) and udder quality (137) is exceptional. In regard to the body traits Sir-Red (A2/A2) offers enormous size, strength and good rumps.
