We have already reported several times on our daughterproven top seller ANDY-RED, but his latest milestone deserves special attention. He is now over seven years old and is still in excellent health. This is a good thing, because the demand for ANDY-RED is still high and he continues to produce semen week after week, so we are delighted that ANDY-RED has now set a record at our breeding centre: He has produced over 200,000 straws of conventional semen – more than any other OHG Red Holstein bull before him! In addition, he has produced more than 16,000 portions of sexed semen.
ANDY-RED has established himself as a top bull, especially in the Netherlands. In the 2023 insemination year, he was the most used Red Holstein bull in the country and even the third most used Holstein bull overall. His daughters can now be found in most Red Holstein herds in the Netherlands and impress with their milk production with very high components, their robustness and their excellent feet & legs. A special highlight was the presentation of an impressive daughter group of second and third calving cows by our distribution partner AiTotal at the HHH show in Leeuwarden in November. We would like to thank AiTotal in the Netherlands, who were instrumental in helping ANDY-RED achieve this extraordinary success. We look forward to many more years with our record-breaking bull and the great influence he has already had on the Red Holstein breed.
