BG ET - the new No. 1 in France
Breeding values in France are being estimated at other dates as the international usual Interbull dates. For that the actual French breeding values were published already on the 27th October 2011. Although the new top list offers not much new bulls and 14 Oman sons are to find among the top 20, there was a really big and from the view of OHG very positive surprise!
In combination with this Hungarian daughter information and his French genomics the Holstein bull BG ET could increase strongly and ranks with ISU 195 (+18) as the highest French Holstein bull! This Shottle son in joint ownership of OHG and Bos-Genetic was used very intensively already for the last months in France due to his tremendous values in Hungary (Top 1 for total index). BG ET, who is named DT Benito or Double Dutch DT Benito in France, is one of the highest production improver of the country with his breeding value of + 1926 kg milk on French base. He reaches also tremendous values for total conformation (+ 2,6), udder (+ 2,0) and legs (+ 1,7). All values for health and fitness traits are positive as well. His values for milking speed in France and also Germany are based at the moment only on genomics, because Hungary has no official measuring system! Ultimately the new French results confirm the tremendous qualities of BG ET as production and conformation sire, so that this Shottle son is the most used sire of sires in France at the moment! Moreover his actual values lead to the expectation that also his Interbull breeding values will increase in December 2011, especially in Germany, US and Canada, where he already reached high values in August 2011 with RZG 138, TPI 1992 und LPI 2589.
BG ET’s fullsister is the highest ranking Shottle daughter in France. His dam Chemello Jockobenge is candidate for the competition "Global Cow of the Year 2011" (of the magazine "Holstein International").
